Privacy Policy
Berg Wind LLC ("we", "us", "the company") operates the Cue mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@cuecycletracker.com.
1. What Cue is and isn't
Cue is an educational tool that helps a male partner understand and support his partner's menstrual cycle. Cue is not a medical device, not a contraceptive tool, and not a substitute for medical advice. Cycle predictions are estimates based on hormonal-cycle science and the data you log. Use reliable contraception if you are not trying to conceive.
2. Information we collect
Cue is built to keep your personal data on your device by default. Here's what we collect and where it lives.
2.1 Data you enter ("App Data")
All of the following is stored locally on your device using the operating system's secure local storage (AsyncStorage / iOS user defaults). We do not transmit this data to our servers:
- Cycle information — last period start date, cycle length, period duration
- Daily logs — period flow, mood, physical symptoms, energy level
- Intimacy logs — whether intimacy occurred, who initiated, whether protection was used, an optional experience rating, notes
- Personal logs — your own self-tracking (e.g. masturbation frequency)
- Preferences — notification toggles, conception-mode flag, dismissed alerts
You can delete all of this at any time by uninstalling the App or by using the "Reset Setup" action in Settings.
2.2 Analytics
With your consent, we collect aggregated, anonymous usage analytics to understand which features people use and to fix bugs. This includes screen views, feature taps, subscription events, app version, device platform, and OS version. Analytics events do not include the contents of your logs — we never send symptom data, cycle dates, intimacy details, or notes to analytics, and events are not linked to a personal identifier. Analytics are opt-in: you choose on first launch and can change it any time in Settings.
2.3 Subscriptions
When you start a Pro trial or subscribe, the transaction is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat (our subscription infrastructure provider). We receive an anonymous customer ID, subscription tier and state, and purchase timestamps. We do not receive your name, email, payment details, or card information — payment is handled entirely by Apple / Google.
2.4 Push notifications
If you grant notification permission, we schedule reminders on-device (your phone fires them locally). We do not send push notifications from our servers and have no server-side record of your notification schedule.
3. How we use information
- App Data: to power the features you opted into — cycle predictions, alerts, insights, charts. It never leaves your device.
- Analytics: to improve the App and prioritise features. Data is aggregated; we cannot see individual users' patterns.
- Subscription data: to verify and restore your Pro access.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to train AI models.
4. Data we do NOT collect
For clarity, Cue does not collect or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials (the App has no account system)
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Your photos or files
- Health data from Apple Health or Google Fit
- Any data about your partner that she has not allowed you to enter
5. Third-party services
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Anonymous customer ID, purchase events |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Payment processing | Per their own policies |
| Expo Application Services | App delivery / updates | Anonymous crash & update data |
6. Your rights
Because the App stores your data locally, you control it directly: view it by opening the app, edit it in the Log tab, and delete it by uninstalling the app or using Settings → Reset Setup. If you are in a region with data-rights laws (GDPR, UK-GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and want a formal data request, email support@cuecycletracker.com and we will respond within 30 days. In practice we will usually direct you to delete the App, because that is the most complete form of deletion — we cannot delete data we don't have.
7. Children
Cue is not intended for use by anyone under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Security
App Data is encrypted at rest by your device's operating system. Analytics events are transmitted over HTTPS. Because we do not store your personal data on our servers, the relevant attack surface is your own device — we recommend keeping your OS up to date and using a device passcode.
9. International transfers
If you contact us at our support email, your message will be processed wherever our support team is located. App Data does not transfer internationally because it stays on your device.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes to this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced in the app via an update notice.
